Health, Safety & Environmental Manager Uttoxeter, Staffordshire Monday to Thursday £40,000 We are looking for a motivated Health and Safety Manager to join a market leader in their respective industry. Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be entrusted to lead parts of the business right from the start with responsibility for key results and involve managing hard and soft services, site and facilities maintenance, HSE group and improvement projects for the site. The position will appeal to a strong HSEQ professional looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company. Role & Responsibilities: Lead site SHE and manage department resource to effectively meet SHE objectives Develop the Environmental and Health and Safety system to significantly improve current standards to agreed levels in agreed time frames Influence and collaborate with frontline management and relative stakeholders and advise on SHE matters Review and tailor specific SHE training packages, delivering internal training/toolbox talks where appropriate, in collaboration with either external training providers or internal Training Manager Provide updates on regulatory changes and audits and offer sound advice and direction Share best practice and promote continuous improvement across the operations. Carry out accident/incident investigations and report to the senior management team in a timely manner, ensuring that preventative actions are identified and executed. Support the operations team with focal points as the subject matter expert. What you’ll need to succeed Degree/Diploma/NVQ in OH&S Coming from an operations and production manufacturing background the post holder should ideally be a self-starter with excellent people management skills and the ability to look ahead, someone who can function across multiple disciplines. ISO 14001 & 45001 management Manual Handling Assessment & Training NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety IOSH membership.
