We are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting manufacturing clients across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer who enjoys hands-on work, variety, and autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • UK-wide field service role (client base mainly North West & South East)
  • Service, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing machinery
  • Work on conveyors, motors, and pumps; hydraulics & pneumatics; sensors, relays, drives & inverters; single & three-phase systems
  • Fault-finding on cutting machines
  • Basic work with Beckhoff & Bosch control systems
  • Occasional welding/fabrication work
  • Mix of electrical & mechanical work (approx. 50/50 or 60/40 either way)

What We Are Looking For:

  • Apprentice trained (Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Previous field service experience is essential
  • Electrical or mechanical bias (electrical preferred if not 50/50)
  • Basic knowledge of Beckhoff & Bosch controls
  • Experience in manufacturing environments
  • Window industry experience is a bonus (not essential)

Benefits:

  • £40,000‑£45,000 basic salary
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x (weekends)
  • Realistic OTE: £50,000+

  • Project bonuses (e.g. £1,000 for a 3-week project)
  • Standard hours: 08:00‑17:00 (days)

  • Reporting to Engineering Manager.
  • Team of 5 Field Service Engineers + 1 Apprentice.
  • Ongoing machinery training provided.
  • Stable, supportive manufacturing environment.
