The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer to join a precision engineering environment supporting the manufacture of complex machined components across a variety of industries. This position offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects, supporting both new and existing products from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise CNC machining programs using CAM software.
- Support manufacturing and engineering activities for new and existing products.
- Produce machining solutions for complex, precision-engineered components.
- Review technical drawings and specifications to determine manufacturing requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Support process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards.
Essential Experience
- At least 3 years' experience in CNC programming using CAM software.
- Experience with one or more industry-standard CAM packages.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience producing programs for complex precision components.
- Ability to interpret technical engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing requirements.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Competent IT and systems skills.
Desirable Experience
- Multi-axis machining experience.
