We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machine Tool Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in high-precision machine tools. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience on CNC machinery including 3-axis and 5-axis machine tools, lathes, millers, and grinders.

The Role

As a CNC Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of CNC machine tools at customer sites across the UK. You will work independently to diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and ensure machinery is operating efficiently with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and repair CNC machine tools
  • Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Working on: 3 & 5 Axis CNC Machines, CNC Lathes, Milling Machines, Grinding Machines
  • Installation and commissioning of new machinery
  • Preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Supporting customers with breakdowns and technical issues
  • Producing clear service reports following site visits

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CNC Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Machine Tool Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and diagnose faults
  • Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or Mitsubishi controls would be advantageous
  • Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong customer-facing skills and ability to work independently
