On behalf of our client, we are recruiting an experienced Internal Account Manager to play a key role in supporting customer relationships and driving sales growth within a fast-paced, customer-focused business. This position acts as a central link between customers, external sales, and internal teams, ensuring a seamless end-to-end experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service, supporting commercial objectives, and strengthening long-term customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
- Act as the main internal point of contact for customer enquiries, updates, and issue resolution.
- Work closely with External Business Development Managers to identify and maximise growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Liaise with the Order Processing team to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, logistics, and technical teams to ensure timely and smooth delivery of customer projects.
- Proactively manage and resolve customer concerns with a solutions-driven approach.
- Monitor account performance, providing regular updates, insights, and reports to the sales team.
- Support the preparation of quotations, tenders, and proposals as required.
- Champion a customer-first mindset across the business.
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Account Management or Sales role, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, professional client relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident working collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong customer service ethos.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
