Field Service Engineer Location: Barnsley, S75 Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience) Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm (flexible start/finish times) Contract: Permanent | Full-Time The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering business based in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer with electrical fault-finding experience to join a growing team, carrying out service, maintenance and repair work on equipment across the UK. The role will involve a combination of field-based work and workshop duties, depending on workload. The Role Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment. Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults, with electrical fault-finding where required. Travel nationally to customer sites across the UK. Potential for occasional international travel, approximately once per year. Complete workshop-based maintenance and repair work when field work is unavailable. Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Provide professional customer service when attending client sites. The Candidate Time-served Mechanical Engineer with practical engineering experience. Strong mechanical maintenance, repair and fault-finding skills. Experience with electrical fault-finding. Previous Field Service Engineering experience is essential. Comfortable with national travel and working independently at customer sites. Full UK driving licence. Must be aged 25 or over due to company vehicle insurance requirements. No formal engineering qualifications are required - practical, time-served experience is what matters. What's on Offer? Salary of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience. Flexible working hours, provided 8 hours are completed daily. Monday to Friday, days-based position.
