We're partnering with an established manufacturer in the Alfreton area to find an experienced Multi Skilled Electrical bias Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis. This is a key role within the site's maintenance function - keeping production equipment running efficiently through a mix of planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
What you'll be doing:
- Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown response on production machinery and electrical systems.
- Fault-finding and diagnosing electrical issues across LV systems, PLCs, drives, and control panels.
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment and process improvements.
- Working collaboratively with mechanical maintenance colleagues on multi-discipline tasks.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and contributing to site improvement projects.
- Working safely at all times in line with site health, safety, and environmental requirements.
What we're looking for:
- Recognised electrical qualification - City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, ONC/HNC, or apprenticeship-trained.
- Solid maintenance experience within a manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, motor drives (inverters/VFDs), and control panels.
- PLC fault-finding experience - Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Multi-skilled engineers with mechanical awareness are particularly welcome.
