We are recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Aberystwyth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established dairy manufacturer producing high-quality products within a modern food production environment. The business operates within a fast-paced FMCG setting, where engineering plays a key role in maintaining production performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of production machinery across the site. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
- Working on a range of food processing and packaging equipment
- Completing fault finding on machinery, sensors, motors, drives and control systems
- Assisting with continuous improvement projects
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and engineering compliance
About You
We are looking for an engineer with a strong electrical and mechanical background who is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, or Engineering Technician
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, or process environments
- Knowledge of conveyors, production machinery, pumps, motors, pneumatics and automation
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with production teams
