An established engineering organisation is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to support and oversee workshop operations within a busy industrial repair environment.
This position focuses on leading a team responsible for the inspection, overhaul, and repair of a wide range of rotating and mechanical equipment.
Role Overview: You will supervise day-to-day workshop activity, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The role involves both hands-on technical involvement and coordination of team workload.
Key Duties:
- Lead and coordinate a team of workshop technicians
- Allocate tasks and monitor progress of ongoing work
- Review and organise job documentation and reports
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members
- Carry out inspection, fault diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment
- Ensure work is completed within agreed timeframes
- Maintain quality standards and adherence to safety procedures
- Assist with complex rebuilds and technical problem-solving when required
Equipment & Work Scope:
- Industrial motors (single and three-phase)
- Gearboxes and drive systems
- Pumps and fluid handling equipment
