On behalf of our client, a well-established and highly regarded architectural metalwork and bespoke steel fabrication business based in the South West, we are recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join their growing fabrication team. With over 30 years of industry expertise, our client delivers high-quality architectural, secondary, and structural steelwork to main contractors, developers, and private clients across the region.
The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work as part of a skilled fabrication team producing a wide range of bespoke metalwork projects. You will be based in a modern, well-equipped workshop where materials are CNC pre-processed to ensure accuracy and consistency. Typical projects include:
- Feature and access staircases
- Gantries and walkways
- Balustrades and handrails
- Balconies
- Structural steelwork
- Bespoke architectural features
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in MIG/TIG welding and fabrication
- Apprenticeship or BTEC Level 3 in Welding/Fabrication preferred
- Able to read and work from fabrication drawings
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Self-motivated, punctual, and well organised
- High attention to detail with a positive attitude
- Flexible approach with the ability to prioritise workload
