We are currently recruiting for a Senior Service Technician to join a well-established specialist equipment business based in Rugby.
This is a hands‑on role offering the opportunity to take ownership of a service workshop, supporting the day to day operation while remaining technically involved with servicing, repairs and fault finding.
Working from a dedicated service facility, you will be responsible for maintaining specialist electromechanical equipment, ensuring all products are serviced, repaired, tested and prepared to the highest standards.
You will also support and supervise one Technician, helping to maintain quality, efficiency and excellent workshop standards.
The role will be predominantly site based, with occasional travel to customer locations to complete servicing, repairs and technical support when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, repair and fault find on specialist electromechanical equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
- Carry out PAT testing and electrical safety checks.
- Support the day to day running of the workshop and service operation.
- Supervise and support one Technician.
- Ensure all equipment is repaired, tested and completed within required timescales.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Use Microsoft Excel and internal systems to update records and track progress.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping, organisation and quality standards.
- Attend customer sites when required to provide servicing and technical support.
The Candidate
- Previous experience servicing, repairing or fault finding on electromechanical equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills.
- Experience with PAT testing or electrical safety testing.
- Previous experience as a Senior Technician, Lead Technician, Workshop Supervisor or similar.
- EBME, medical equipment or healthcare equipment experience would be highly advantageous.
- Comfortable taking ownership and working independently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
