We are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Oldham. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in the design, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support of electrical control systems across a variety of industrial applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong electrical knowledge and hands-on experience in PLC programming, commissioning, and installation. Role Description
  • PLC programming, modification, and fault-finding on a range of control systems
  • Electrical installation and commissioning of industrial machinery and automated equipment
  • Testing and validation of electrical control panels and systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults both on-site and remotely
  • Supporting project delivery from design through to commissioning
  • Producing and updating technical documentation where required
  • Working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project completion
  • Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager
  • Occasional travel to customer sites for commissioning and support activities
Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer, Controls Engineer, or Automation Engineer
  • Strong PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar)
  • Proven commissioning and electrical installation experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Electrical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
  • Experience with industrial control panels and automation systems
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Full UK Driving Licence desirable
