?? Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Food Manufacturing)
Location: DudleySalary: £55,780 + OvertimeShift Pattern: Contis
We are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on role requiring someone who can hit the ground running and support production across processing and packaging operations.
?? Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair production and packaging machinery
- Work on equipment including:
- Mixing vessels and blenders
- Pumps, fillers, cappers, and conveyors
- Pasteurisers, cookers, and heat exchangers
- Packaging and labelling machinery
- Electrical fault‑finding on single and three‑phase systems
- PLC fault‑finding (Siemens / Allen Bradley preferred)
- Maintain motors, inverters, sensors, and control panels
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
- Work in line with BRCGS, HACCP, and GMP standards
?? Skills & Experience Required
- Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent)
- PLC fault‑finding experience
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Background in Food/FMCG manufacturing highly desirable
- Able to work independently in a fast‑moving environment

- Continental shift:
- Days: 06:00 – 18:00, Mon‑Thurs (4 on / 3 off)
- Nights: 18:00 – 06:00, Mon‑Thurs (4 on / 3 off)
- Moving to 4 on / 4 off later in the year
