We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join a busy and well-established food manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a forward-thinking business where you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving production equipment, ensuring maximum reliability and efficiency across the site.

The Role

  • Working as part of the engineering and maintenance team, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities across a range of automated production machinery and equipment.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Minimise downtime and support continuous production
  • Support installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment
  • Read and work from electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Assist with continuous improvement and process optimisation projects

About You

  • We are looking for a proactive and hands-on engineer with strong fault-finding ability and experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Apprentice trained or engineering qualified
  • Strong electrical maintenance background
  • Multi-skilled with good mechanical knowledge
  • Experience fault finding on production/manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems
  • Ability to read electrical and engineering drawings
  • Experience within automated manufacturing environments
