The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a CNC Service Engineer to join a well-established machine tool business with an excellent reputation within the manufacturing sector. This role offers a mix of field service and occasional site-based work, providing variety and the opportunity to work on a range of CNC machinery across multiple industries. The company is committed to developing its engineers and offers ongoing technical training, career progression and strong earning potential through door-to-door pay and overtime.

The Role

As a CNC Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of CNC machine tools at customer sites. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on CNC machinery
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
  • Responding to breakdowns and minimising customer downtime
  • Installing and commissioning new machinery
  • Working on CNC controls, drives, motors, hydraulics and pneumatic systems
  • Producing detailed service reports
  • Providing excellent customer support and technical advice

The Candidate

We are keen to speak with engineers who have experience within:

  • CNC machinery
  • Machine tools
  • Industrial maintenance
  • Field service engineering
  • Manufacturing or production environments

You will ideally possess:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience working with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain or Mazatrol (advantageous)
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
  • Full UK Driving Licence
