Job Description
CV Technical are partnered with an award winning manufacturing committed to delivering high-quality products and data-driven business insights to its senior leadership team. With a focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence and cross-department collaboration, they're looking to bring in a talented Data Analyst to support their growth and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce regular (monthly) performance reports covering manufacturing & sales for senior leadership.
- Identify, collect and migrate data from a variety of sources.
- Review data, identify trends and generate actionable business insight.
- Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex datasets for departments and the business as a whole.
- Monitor and audit data quality, ensuring accuracy, completeness and integrity.
- Develop dashboards, automated reports and visualisations.
- Work with internal departments to support understanding of the purpose and effectiveness of reviewing and acting on data trends.
- Collaborate with department managers to introduce new data streams for monitoring to ensure efficient business performance.
- Review existing data streams, highlight areas of concern or business improvement opportunities.
- Develop and promote best-practice approaches in how data is delivered, consumed and acted upon.
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience in data analysis, reporting or business intelligence, preferably within manufacturing.
- Proficiency with Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau)
- Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and extract meaningful business insight.
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on data quality and integrity.
- Effective communicator: able to explain data trends and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with department managers and senior leadership.
Desirable:
- Experience in manufacturing or sales operations context.
- Prior experience building dashboards or automated reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of data migration, ETL or data-warehouse concepts.
- Understanding of best practice data governance, data-stream design and monitoring.
📍 Wigan – Hybrid working 3 days per weeks on site
💰 £30,000 – £40,000 DOE + Benefits
