The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated manufacturing in Corby.
This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice-trained engineer with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience to work within a modern, automated FMCG warehouse environment.
You will play a key role in maintaining highly automated equipment, responding to breakdowns and supporting the ongoing reliability and efficiency of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across highly automated warehouse and production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively.
- Support breakdown response to minimise downtime.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and contribute to improving equipment reliability.
- Fault-find on automated systems and associated electrical/mechanical equipment.
- Work safely and follow site engineering and health & safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Multi-Skilled Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar maintenance engineering role.
- An apprentice-trained engineering background.
- Previous experience working within an FMCG automated warehouse or highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
