Mobile Plant Fitter (Regional)
Location: Essex
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm
We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join an established engineering team supporting a broad range of plant and machinery.
This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced engineer who can independently diagnose faults, carry out repairs and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
The Role
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections and testing.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Attend customer and operational sites to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
- Complete accurate service records, job sheets and supporting documentation.
- Manage repairs from initial diagnosis through to completion.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

- Excavators
- Dumpers and dump trucks
- Crushers and screeners
- Wheeled loaders
- Skid-steer loaders

- Hand tools and associated site equipment
About You
The successful candidate will have
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or similar.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
- Experience using computerised diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- The ability to complete clear and accurate service documentation.
- Your own tools.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
