We are recruiting an experienced CNC Machine Tool Service Engineer to join a well‑established engineering business specialising in high‑precision machine tools.
Field Based | UK Wide Travel | £35,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Company Vehicle + Benefits
The engineer will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of CNC machine tools at customer sites across the UK. Working independently, you will diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and ensure machinery operates efficiently with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and repair CNC machine tools
- Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
- Working on: 3 & 5 Axis CNC Machines, CNC Lathes, Milling Machines, Grinding Machines
- Installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Preventative and reactive maintenance
- Supporting customers with breakdowns and technical issues
- Producing clear service reports following site visits
- Previous experience as a CNC Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Machine Tool Engineer
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools
- Ability to read electrical drawings and diagnose faults
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or Mitsubishi controls would be advantageous
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong customer-facing skills and ability to work independently
