We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well‑established and growing engineering business specialising in the service, installation, and maintenance of pump systems across sectors including commercial, water treatment, utilities, and manufacturing.
This is a varied, hands‑on field‑based role where you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of industrial pump systems at customer sites across the region. Working independently and alongside a wider engineering support team, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and repair:
- Centrifugal pumps
- Submersible pumps
- Positive displacement pumps
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on‑site
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Install and commission new pump systems and associated equipment
- Provide technical support and advice to customers
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures
We are looking for a motivated and customer‑focused engineer with strong fault‑finding ability and previous experience working within a field service environment.
Essential Skills & Experience- Experience working on industrial or commercial pump systems
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault‑finding skills
- Background in field service, maintenance, or installation engineering
- Good understanding of hydraulics and rotating equipment
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently
- IPAF Certification
- Confined Space Training
- 18th Edition Electrical Qualification
- Competitive basic salary of £40,000 - £43,000
