We're working with a well-established engineering business that specialises in the service, repair, and installation of industrial pump systems across a wide range of sectors including water treatment, manufacturing, and utilities. They are now looking to add an experienced Field Service Engineer (Pumps) to their growing team.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of various pump systems on customer sites. You'll work both independently and as part of a wider engineering support team, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum and equipment is running efficiently.

Typical duties include:

  • Servicing and repairing centrifugal, submersible, and positive displacement pumps
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on-site
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Installing and commissioning new pump systems
  • Providing technical support and advice to customers
  • Completing accurate service reports and documentation

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong engineering background and proven experience in field-based work. Ideally you will have:

  • Experience working with industrial or commercial pump systems
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
  • A background in field service, maintenance, or installation engineering
  • Good understanding of hydraulics and rotating equipment
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A self-motivated approach and strong customer-facing skills
  • IPAF Certification
  • Confined Space Training
  • 18th edition Electrical Competency
