- We are currently recruiting for a
- Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy operation in
Tamworth , where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse while driving improvements across stock control, picking accuracy, fulfilment and delivery performance.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and to consistently high standards, while taking ownership of continuous improvement across the operation.
Key responsibilities will include
- Overseeing all day-to-day warehouse activities , ensuring safe and efficient working practices.
- Maintaining high standards of picking accuracy, stock control and order fulfilment .
- Ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time .
- Driving improvements across warehouse layout, stock locations and picking processes .
- Introducing and maintaining best-practice warehouse standards .
- Identifying process improvements and implementing corrective action plans.
- Leading warehouse improvement projects, including the introduction of new technology and systems .
- Monitoring and achieving key warehouse KPIs .
- Ensuring all
WMS data is accurate and maintained.
- Developing and implementing
SOPs, care points and quality alerts .
- Training and coaching the warehouse team on new processes and systems.
- Maintaining excellent
5S/housekeeping standards .
- Ensuring full compliance with
UK HSE regulations and company quality standards .
- Leading by example and creating a positive, proactive working environment.
About You
We're looking for someone with previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership position , ideally within a fast-paced environment.
You should have
- Proven experience managing or supervising warehouse operations.
- A strong understanding of stock control, picking, order fulfilment and WMS .
- Experience of driving process improvements and warehouse efficiencies .
- Good understanding of warehouse KPIs and performance management .
- Experience training and coaching warehouse teams.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant warehouse/supervisory qualifications would be beneficial.
IOSH Managing Safely would be advantageous but is not essential.
