Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Clitheroe
Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 1:30pm-10pm
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company in Clitheroe. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the efficiency and reliability of production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reactive and proactive maintenance across a range of packaging and process equipment.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks as directed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults to minimise downtime and maintain production flow.
- Work closely with Line Leaders and Production teams to optimise operational efficiency and equipment uptime.
- Carry out general building and facilities maintenance across the site.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and PPMs, ensuring departmental paperwork is complete and up to date.
- Support projects involving machinery upgrades, installations, and site improvement works.
- Identify and manage spare parts requirements, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Communicate technical and operational issues promptly to relevant departments.
- Attend meetings and deputise for the Senior Engineer when required.
- Lead maintenance and improvement projects to agreed deadlines.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and best practices at all times.
Requirements:
- Relevant industry qualification (e.g. HNC/ONC/NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
- Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
- FMCG experience.
- Packaging machinery experience.
- Chemical and hygiene awareness.
