TIG Welder

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Salary: £32,000 - £37,385 per annum
Shifts: Early or late shift, Monday to Friday

The Role

As a TIG Welder, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality welds and ensuring components are manufactured to the required specifications and quality standards.

Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out TIG welding on metal components and fabricated assemblies.

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Preparing materials and components ready for welding.

  • Maintaining high standards of weld quality, accuracy and finish.

  • Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets required standards.

  • Working closely with colleagues across the manufacturing and fabrication teams.

  • Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in TIG welding within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • An understanding of welding procedures and quality standards.

  • A reliable, team-focused approach with the ability to work independently when required.

Experience working with stainless steel, precision fabrication or high-integrity welded components would be advantageous.
