Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
£50,000 | Double Days | Monday-Friday
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing business based in the Wednesbury area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to join an established business, working on a range of production machinery and supporting the site with both planned and reactive maintenance.
Shifts: 7:00am - 4:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment running efficiently, carrying out preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns when required.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Responding to and diagnosing mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Fault finding and repairing production machinery
- Supporting continuous improvement and reducing machinery downtime
- Installation, modification and improvement of machinery and equipment
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Working closely with the production team to minimise downtime
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
The Person
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / apprenticeship
- Experience working with production machinery
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
Package
- £50,000 basic salary
- Double-day shift pattern
- 7:00am - 4:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- Monday-Friday
- Permanent position
