The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of production machinery through planned preventative maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will help maximise plant uptime while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Fault find on PLC-controlled machinery.
- Work on conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Support continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation using the CMMS.
The Ideal Candidate
- Apprentice trained or hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalè) in Engineering.
- Multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or production environment.
- Confident fault finding on automated machinery.
- Knowledge of PLC fault finding would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
