We're recruiting for a skilled TIG Welder to join an established manufacturing operation in Abingdon, working on high-quality engineered metal products. The Role
As a TIG Welder, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality welds and ensuring components are manufactured to the required specifications and quality standards.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out TIG welding on metal components and fabricated assemblies.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Preparing materials and components ready for welding.
- Maintaining high standards of weld quality, accuracy and finish.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets required standards.
- Working closely with colleagues across the manufacturing and fabrication teams.
- Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in TIG welding within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- An understanding of welding procedures and quality standards.
- A reliable, team-focused approach with the ability to work independently when required.
- Experience working with stainless steel, precision fabrication or high-integrity welded components would be advantageous.
