Payroll Assistant – Yeovil

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Assistant to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Yeovil. Offering a salary of

£35,000 plus an excellent benefits package , this is an initial temporary position with a genuine opportunity to become permanent.

Working within a friendly payroll team of eight and reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing of weekly payroll for a large workforce.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process the weekly payroll for approximately 740 employees, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Administer all payroll changes, including new starters, leavers and employee amendments.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with day-to-day payroll administration and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records using the Miracle payroll system.
  • Work collaboratively within the payroll team while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • What Experience is Required
  • Previous payroll experience, ideally processing high-volume payrolls.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems (experience with Miracle would be advantageous but is not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills.
