A fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join an established legal practice based near Maidenhead. This predominantly office-based position offers a salary of £55,000 plus excellent benefits and will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function alongside an Accounts Assistant.
You will oversee financial reporting, billing, accounting and compliance, whilst providing valuable financial insight to senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will join a professional and collaborative legal environment, playing a key role in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the continued success of the practice. Hybrid working may be available following probation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee billing, credit control, accounts payable/receivable and accurate financial records.
- Prepare management information, financial reports, journals, reconciliations and VAT returns.
- Monitor budgets, cash flow, payroll and statutory payments, ensuring robust financial controls.
- Coordinate SAR audits and liaise with banks, HMRC and external auditors.
- Support compliance across SRA, AML, GDPR and KYC requirements, including professional indemnity insurance.
What Experience is Required:
- Proven finance experience within the legal sector or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of legal finance and regulatory requirements, including SRA and AML.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to advise Partners and senior stakeholders.
