Part-Time Legal Secretary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Part-Time Legal Secretary to join a well-established law firm based in Birmingham. This part-time position for three days a week (22.5hrs) offers a salary of up to £26,000 Pro Rata. The firm is known for its specialist legal services in areas such as conveyancing, wills & probate, family law, and litigation. If you\’re highly organised, proactive, and experienced in supporting fee earners, this could be the perfect role for you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support including audio typing, scanning, and document filing
- Assist fee earners with client correspondence, document preparation, and case progression
- Manage incoming phone calls and liaise with clients and external contacts professionally
- Ensure compliance processes such as file opening and closing are completed accurately
- Format and amend legal documents using internal templates and systems
What Experience is Required
- Previous experience in a Legal secretary role
- Strong audio typing and document formatting skills
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication abilities
Salary & Benefits
Salary up to £26,000 Pro Rata (based on three days, 22.5hrs per week – which will include Monday and Tuesday plus one other day).
