CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a Finance Assistant on behalf of a well-established business based in Grantham. This permanent, full-time, office-based role sits within a friendly Accounts and Payroll team and offers a varied mix of ledger work, credit control and weekly payroll processing. Paying £30,000 alongside a solid benefits package, it is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a good grounding in finance and payroll who enjoys variety and wants to play a key part in keeping a busy business running smoothly.
Duties & Responsibilities
Processing the weekly payroll on Sage for around 60 staff, making sure everyone is paid accurately and on time
Managing the sales and purchase ledgers day to day
Chasing outstanding payments as part of the credit control function
Reconciling supplier statements, and keeping the cash book up to date with weekly reconciliations
Banking cash and cheques when required
What Experience is Required
Previous experience in a finance, accounts or payroll role
Hands-on experience of running payroll, ideally using Sage
Strong attention to detail, good organisation and confidence with figures
