Frontend Application Engineer
London | Salary up to £40,000
Introduction
CV Screen is recruiting for a Frontend Application Engineer to join an established international organisation. You will take day-to-day responsibility for a suite of internally developed business applications used by hundreds of employees.
This is not a conventional frontend position focused on websites or framework-led development. You’ll work with complex, authenticated applications built primarily using HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, alongside Node.js, SQL and Azure. The role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to build user-facing functionality powered by AI.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and improve business-critical web applications used across the organisation.
- Diagnose production issues, identify root causes and implement durable fixes.
- Build new features using HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript.
- Debug and extend Node.js and Express APIs and write T-SQL queries.
- Maintain integrations, authentication, automated tests and Azure deployments.
What Experience Is Required
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, including complex client-side application logic.
- Experience with Node.js, REST APIs and SQL, ideally alongside Azure App Service and Azure DevOps.
- Extensive use of AI development tools and experience integrating LLM APIs into user-facing applications.
