CV Screen is recruiting for an exciting Finance Assistant role based in York, offering a salary of up to £29,000 plus an excellent benefits package. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the finance team of a well-established and highly regarded independent education organisation operating across an impressive campus and wider estate. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations, working in a professional, collaborative environment that values accuracy, development and long-term career progression.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with reconciliations, journals and financial reporting for internal stakeholders
- Process payments, intercompany transactions and support purchase ledger activities
- Monitor budgets and provide clear, accurate information to budget holders
- Maintain invoicing, payment plans and customer account records
- Support management accounts preparation and respond to finance queries
Experience Required
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role
- Strong Excel skills and understanding of accounting principles
- AAT Level 3 or above desirable
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
