We are seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join a fantastic business in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role centered on managing and improving core financial processes. We are seeking a motivated, high-potential accounting professional who is ready to advance their career and take full ownership of the finance function within a small to mid-sized business.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead day-to-day finance operations
- Produce monthly management accounts
- Manage cashflow and financial controls
- Ensure compliance and governance
- Liaise with auditors and accountants
- Improve systems, processes, and automation
- Develop reporting and insights (e.g. Power BI)
- Support operations with financial analysis
- Provide commercial and decision support
- Lead and develop the finance team
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Senior finance role experience
- Hands-on management of finance operations
- Experience in SME or multi-site environments
- Use of cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero)
- Support for commercial decisions and operations
- Experience with audits, bids, or funding processes
- Strong reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills
- Effective cashflow management and financial control
