CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a part-time Bookkeeper for a well-established independent automotive business in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. You'll work 3 or 4 days a week, 9:30am – 4:00pm, and take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration, keeping records accurate, payroll on track and statutory deadlines met. The salary is £30,000 FTE (pro rata). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sage user who wants a varied, hands‑on role with real responsibility, in a friendly, close‑knit team that is passionate about what it does.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Handle bank reconciliations, customer receipts, sales invoicing and statements
- Process purchase invoices, supplier payments and weekly payment runs
- Run monthly payroll in Sage Payroll and manage pension contributions
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, plus annual P60s and P11Ds
- Keep budget spreadsheets up to date and support month-end and year-end reporting
What Experience is Required
- Proven bookkeeping experience and a solid grasp of bookkeeping principles
- Hands‑on use of Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll, plus strong Excel skills
- Experience with a dealer management system or in the automotive sector would be an advantage
Salary & Benefits
£30,000 FTE, pro rata for 3 or 4 days a week, plus a workplace pension. Hours of 9:30am – 4:00pm give a great work‑life balance.
Location
Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. The role is office based and an easy commute from Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Abbots Langley, Rickmansworth, St Albans and Berkhamsted, with good links via the M25 and Kings Langley station.
