About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to oversee day-to-day business functions, including logistics, warehousing, office management, health & safety, and site facilities, for this fantastic business based near Chelmsford. With a salary of £60,000–£70,000 plus a company vehicle, this senior role requires strong experience in operations and a solid understanding of transport and logistics.

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations and coordinate logistics across the business
Work closely with internal departments and external transport partners to ensure smooth delivery schedules
Take responsibility for the effective running and organisation of the warehouse
Lead, support, and develop the office-based team
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and champion best practices across the site
Manage site facilities, ensuring they remain safe, efficient, and fit for purpose

What Experience is Required

Strong, proven experience in a similar role
Solid understanding of transport and logistics, including within the EU.
Full UK Driving license
