The Finance Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing financial management, business operations, systems, compliance, and organisational infrastructure. The postholder will work closely with the CEO to provide financial reporting, strategic business support, and operational oversight, while leading key improvement projects including the migration to Xero, implementation of a new Management Information System, and the development of efficient systems to support organisational growth. This is a part time role covering 3.5 days per week and you will generally only be required to work during school terms.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead day-to-day finance operations.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
- Support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Lead finance system improvements and Xero implementation.
- Improve organisational systems and processes.
- Oversee IT, facilities, procurement, and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance, GDPR, insurance, and health & safety.
- Manage suppliers, contracts, and external partnerships.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong financial management and reporting skills.
- Experience managing business systems in an SME.
- Experience improving systems and processes.
- Qualified or equivalent practical experience gained in a leadership role.
- Demonstrable experience of producing management accounts.
- Budgeting, forecasting, payroll oversight and financial reporting.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Basic salary range of up to £45,000 FTE. Hybrid Working.
