CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a Second Line IT Engineer on behalf of a well-established business with offices across the UK. Based in their Birmingham city centre office, this full-time, office-based role pays up to £32,000 and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a growing IT team. Working closely with the Head of IT, you will be the escalation point for more complex technical issues, keep the firm’s systems secure and reliable, and play an active part in infrastructure projects. Duties & Responsibilities
- Take ownership of escalated tickets, diagnosing hardware, software, network, printing and telephony faults
- Administer users and services across Active Directory, Entra ID and Microsoft 365
- Build, deploy and maintain laptops, desktops and mobile devices, including patching and MDM
- Help monitor security alerts, backups and disaster recovery in line with GDPR and Cyber Essentials
- Support office moves, hardware refreshes and rollouts, liaising with third-party suppliers
What Experience is Required
- Proven second-line IT support experience in a Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environment
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and strong troubleshooting ability
- Excellent customer service skills and a full UK driving licence, with willingness to travel to other offices
Salary & Benefits
Up to £32,000 per annum depending on experience, plus 23 days’ holiday and bank holidays (rising with service), an extra day off for your birthday, employer pension contributions, an Electric Vehicle Scheme, optional health cover, ongoing training and regular social events.
Location
Birmingham city centre (B1), within easy commuting distance of Solihull, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Sutton Coldfield, Dudley and Walsall.
