We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Oxygen Propane Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience within the waste, scrap industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Using a cutting torch to cut oversized material.
- Responsible for precise cutting and fabrication of materials, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Operate various cutting equipment and tools with precision to meet specifications.
- Maintain the efficiency of the area by ensuring that materials are handled correctly and safely within the yard.
- Sorting of materials, picking and manual handling.
- Perform some lifting and manual handling of materials.
- Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
- Maintain an organised yard by ensuring materials are stored correctly and safely and that the yard is clean, tidy and safe.
- Work in a small team offering a willing and flexible approach.
Skills required:
- Physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.
- Proven experience in materials handling is a bonus.
- Proven experience in fabrication, milling, welding, or assembly within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
- Competence in using hand tools, tooling, and materials handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Good understanding of materials properties and tooling requirements for different fabrication tasks.
- Ability to load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
