The Role:
Working for a successful independent business, this is an exciting and creative career opportunity! We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media & Marketing Apprentice to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their marketing career who has a genuine interest in social media, content creation, video and graphic design and wants to develop their skills in a hands-on role.
You will help create engaging content and support our social media and wider marketing activity. Responsibilities will include:
- Creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Filming and editing short-form video content
- Appearing in front of the camera when required for social media videos and other content
- Creating graphics and marketing materials using Canva and Adobe
- Writing captions and producing engaging social media posts
- Scheduling content to reach relevant target audiences
- Developing new content ideas and keeping up with social media trends
- Supporting wider marketing campaigns and activities
- Reviewing engagement and identifying what content performs well
Skills and Attributes required:
Strong analytical skills, a meticulous attention to detail and self-motivation are essential to this role. You don't need extensive marketing experience. We are looking for someone who is creative, confident, organised and keen to learn.
Ideally, you will have:
- A strong interest in marketing, social media and content creation
- Confidence using platforms such as Instagram and TikTok
- Some experience with Canva and/or Adobe
- An interest in filming, photography and video editing
- Confidence to be both behind and in front of the camera
- Good written communication skills
- A creative eye and willingness to suggest new ideas
Qualifications or experience in Marketing, Film, Graphic Design, Media, English, Photography or similar creative subjects would be beneficial but are not essential.
Support & Development:
You won't be expected to know everything from day one. This is a supported development role. You will have the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience, receive regular guidance and develop your skills across social media, content creation and wider marketing activity. Most importantly, we're looking for someone with creativity, enthusiasm and potential who wants to build a career in marketing.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.45am – 5.30pm
