Due to expansion we are recruiting a Press Brake Operative to operate press brake machinery efficiently and safely to manufacture components to specification, ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality within a production environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating press brake machines to bend and form metal components.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Measuring and checking components to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
  • Setting up and adjusting machinery where required.
  • Working with a variety of press brake machines and tooling.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety standards.
  • Carrying out quality checks and reporting any defects or issues.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider production team.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience operating press brake machinery (essential).
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Strong measuring and numerical skills.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills across different machines.
  • Reliable and hardworking.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing/workshop environment.
  • Standing for extended periods and handling materials.

The Hours:

Monday – Thursday 07.30am – 5.00pm
Friday 7.30am-12.30pm
