We are seeking a skilled Mig Welder to join our growing client's manufacturing team in Longton, Stoke on Trent. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily using MIG welding techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair products using sheet metal and other materials in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently to achieve high-quality welds.
- Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Skills and Attributes:
- Fully experienced in MIG welding steels up to 12mm thickness.
- The ability to weld other materials such as stainless steels and alloys is advantageous.
- Fully competent in the use of hand and air tools.
- Ability to read and work from detailed fabrication drawings.
- Capable of working to demanding deadlines.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes and sheet metal work.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to welding environments.
- Previous experience working with sheet metal, fabrication projects, or similar roles is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The Hours:
No weekends, 4 Nights Monday to Thursday, 6pm – 6am.
