The Role:
- Support the maintenance function by carrying out a wide range of engineering and site maintenance tasks.
- Ensure equipment, machinery, and facilities are safe, functional, and operating efficiently.
- Carry out small electrical tasks including testing, replacing fuses, cable repairs, and fitting light fixtures and sockets.
- Perform basic welding and fabrication work.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, including hose changes and ram replacements.
- Undertake plumbing repairs and installations.
- Complete joinery tasks such as fitting door closers and replacing hinges.
- Carry out general painting and site upkeep.
- Repair and maintain power tools.
- Assist with servicing and maintenance of machinery.
- Work on pneumatic systems including filter and piston changes and pipe installation.
- Repair roller shutter doors.
- Operate safely when working at height.
- Maintain and repair overhead cranes and hoists.
- Deliver general, all‑round site maintenance support.
- Safely use a range of hand and power tools.
Skills and Attributes required:
- Experience in general maintenance or multi‑skilled engineering.
- Basic knowledge across electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance.
- Ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Welding skills.
- Experience working at height.
- Knowledge of overhead cranes and hoists.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or over (to operate certain equipment).
- Willingness to learn and develop additional skills over time.
- Flexible approach to work and duties.
The Hours:
- Monday to Thursday – 07.30am – 5.00pm
- Friday – 07.30am – 12.30pm
