The Role
- To operate and program laser cutting machinery to produce high-quality components in line with production requirements
- Ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Programme and operate laser cutting machines based on production needs
- Load materials and manage machine operations efficiently
- Create and programme nestings to optimise material usage
- Monitor production to ensure components meet quality standards
- Carry out quality checks and ensure attention to detail at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines
- Fast-paced manufacturing/workshop setting
- Involves operating machinery and handling materials
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery (essential)
- Ability to read and understand technical/engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Experience with programming and nesting (preferred)
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Reliable and hardworking
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
