The predicted salary is between 39600 - 66000 £ per year.

Permanent, Full Time – up to £55k, £26.44 per hour (depending on experience). Mobile worker required to travel to and work at various locations within the West Midlands – ideally located in Birmingham/Coventry areas. On site hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week).

The Role

  • Service and maintenance of gas appliances within both commercial and domestic properties.
  • Attending service and reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose and repair in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
  • Using knowledge and boiler fault‑finding experience to provide high levels of first‑time fix and customer care.
  • Carrying out day‑to‑day responsive maintenance, service and repairs as instructed.
  • Conducting servicing and safety checks on all heating systems and ensuring compliance with current gas/oil safety regulations.
  • Attending to boiler/system breakdowns, inspecting and identifying all works required to ensure correct functioning of heating systems.
  • Installing commercial boilers and associated plant.
  • Willing to undertake further training/development within the post as required.
  • Being part of the emergency call‑out team on a rota basis.
  • Promoting a positive and professional attitude to all customers and staff.
  • Communicating effectively with tenants and other members of the public.

Skills and Attributes required

  • Full UK (Clean) Driving Licence.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as within a team.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple sites across the West & East Midlands and wider areas as required.
  • Ability to work additional hours over and above contracted hours where overtime would be payable.
  • Use of power tools, company/corporate clothing, boots allowance and PPE.

Qualifications Required

  • ACS – CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, CDGA1, CIGA1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CORT1, COMCAT.
  • Gas experience within the commercial sector (analysing, fault finding, service, repair and maintenance on gas/heating installations and appliances).
  • Working knowledge of test equipment, including an electrical multi‑meter.

Travel & Working Conditions

  • This is a mobile position that will involve travelling to multiple sites across the West & East Midlands and some wider travel as required.
  • Due to customer demands, the ability to work additional hours over and above contracted hours if and when required, where overtime would be payable.
  • Be part of the emergency call‑out team on a rota basis.
