About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Welfare Assistant to join a supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in London. This role involves providing essential care and support to children with a range of complex needs, ensuring their wellbeing and enabling them to thrive in a nurturing educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance to pupils with SEN.
  • Support the emotional and physical wellbeing of students.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents.
  • Implement care plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Encourage and support pupils in their learning and social interactions.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is desirable.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting children’s development.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding practices.
