We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative with driving responsibilities to work for our busy and well-established client based in Harlow. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent position working Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm with a 45-minute break. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £30,000 per annum. This role is split between warehouse and driving depending on the workload schedule, so candidates must be flexible and adaptable.
Duties include:
- Driving a large van/Luton van to deliver goods to customers or between sites (local and regional routes)
- Carrying or lifting/manually loading and unloading goods
- Checking and booking in deliveries
- Planning and organising stock and deliveries
- Preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pick-up according to schedule
- Generating labels and shipment documentation
- Performing inventory controls using warehouse systems and computer software
- Operating a fork-truck (training can be provided if necessary)
Skills and Experience:
- Full Clean UK driving licence (with experience driving large or Luton vans)
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Computer literate with knowledge of common applications
- Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Fork-lift licence (not essential for the start – training can be arranged)
