We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Office/Warehouse Manager to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our warehouse and office functions. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team. This role requires the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all areas.
The candidate will report directly to the Production Manager and work closely with the Workshop Foreman, staff, and operatives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a keen eye for detail are essential to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Management: Oversee the management of current and new assets, maintain and update the asset list regularly, organise and manage item storage, manage product/material deliveries, handle forklift servicing requirements, monitor and maintain stock levels, monitor waste management processes, conduct pallet racking inspections.
- Transport Management: Manage the FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) accreditation, monitor and review daily/weekly vehicle checklist reports, oversee the vehicle tracking software, ensure regular LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) servicing is carried out.
- Health & Safety: Conduct employee inductions, serve as the Fire Marshal Leader, perform yearly fire audits, test fire alarm call points, act as the First Aid Leader, conduct Face Fit Testing, oversee PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) for the office and workshop, perform annual COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments.
- General Responsibilities: Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills, assume key holder responsibilities, full-time position with overtime opportunities available, standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000, with 28 days holiday entitlement. Pension scheme available (optional).
