Tyre Technician/Fitter required

Location: Warrington (Monday to Friday 7-4pm) + paid overtime available

Salary: £29,000 starting, increasing to £32,000 after training

SF Recruitment is excited to be recruiting for a Tyre Technician on behalf of a fantastic, long-standing client of theirs based in Warrington. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Technician who is seeking a new role, looking to work for a great business offering a relaxed culture, great work life balance and excellent training and development!

The Role

As a Tyre Technician you will be responsible for fitting tyres for heavy and light vehicle equipment, ensuring that the client's key business principles are adhered to and are actively implemented on site with, and for, the customer.

Typical duties will include:

  • Ensure that all tyre fitting work is done according to client's work standards.
  • Ensure that the contract scope-of-works is met to client's high standard.
  • Ensure that the minimum and or contract key performance indicators (KPI) are met.
  • Perform equipment checks and calibrations.
  • Perform wheel alignment.
  • Fit and remove wheels from any type of vehicle.
  • Mount and strip any type of tyre and assemble rims.
  • Balance any type of tyre and rim assembly.
  • Perform repairs to tyres and tubes.
  • Operate forklifts and tyre handlers.
  • Perform Inspections and determine the suitability of wheel components to remain in service.
  • Complete any other duties allocated.

My client is looking for experience across heavy equipment and/or commercial and small plant experience with experience of fitting from a van/small commercial vehicle. Full training will be provided however commercial experience, as a minimum, is required. In addition, HGV License will be advantageous however not essential and can be trained.
