We are looking for qualified teachers within the Hertfordshire area to support neurodivergent students on EOTAS packages, particularly in Hemel Hempstead and Hitchin.

Hours Available (Candidates who can only offer some should still apply):

  • Hitchin: 25 hours
  • Hemel Hempstead: 16 hours

For this role, you should have experience supporting students with SEND, who require a bespoke package of education, based on the needs and provisions outlined in their EHCP. The tutorials will take place during the day, so the tutor should have some availability, Monday - Friday during the day, term-time only. Candidates who are only able to offer evenings or weekends should not apply for this role.

We are looking for an immediate start date, but we will consider applicants who have a notice period greater than this, for the right candidate.

Requirements as a Tutor:

  • Must have at least experience in teaching
  • Enjoy inspiring students and seeing progress in their results
  • Must have experience of working with neurodivergent adolescents
  • Desirable to have experience of low-arousal and low-demand approaches
  • Must have experience working outside of traditional education settings
  • Must have experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications as a Tutor:

  • A BSc/BA minimum in your chosen teaching subject
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Desirable to have safeguarding training at Level 1 minimum
  • Desirable to have an Enhanced DBS checked on The Update Service
  • Desirable to have a full, clean driver's license and car
